Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican
PETRONAS Adviser
Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican is the Chairman of Pavilion Energy, Pavilion Energy Trading & Supply, and Pavilion Energy Singapore.
He is a Director of Sarawak Energy Berhad, Lambert Energy Advisory Ltd and MH Marican Advisory Sdn Bhd. He is also a Senior International Advisor of Temasek International Advisors, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings.
He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional (PETRONAS) from 1995 until his retirement in February 2010, and has over 30 years of experience in finance and management.
He was Chairman of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Lan Ting Holdings, Singapore Power, and SembCorp Marine.
Tan Sri Hassan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Malaya.
Mr Ganen Sarvananthan
Managing Partner, TPG Asia
Mr Ganen Sarvananthan is the Co-Managing Partner of TPG Asia. Prior to joining TPG in 2014, Ganen served as Head of Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad for almost a decade. He also worked at UBS Investment Bank, where he was based in London, Hong Kong and Singapore for more than seven years.
Mr Sarvananthan studied law at University College London and is a Barrister-at-Law (England and Wales).
Mr Timothy Chia
Chairman, Hup Soon Global Corporation Pte Ltd
Mr Timothy Chia is Chairman of Hup Soon Global Corporation Private Limited and Gracefield Holdings Limited. He founded Hup Soon Global Corporation in 2007. Mr Chia currently also serves as a Director of Singapore Power Ltd, Vertex Venture Holdings Ltd, Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Innoven Capital Pte Ltd, Seviora Holdings Pte Ltd and United Motor Works (Siam) Public Co Ltd.
Since July 2017, Mr Chia has been named as a Term Trustee of the Singapore Indian Development Association (“SINDA”) and serves as a Member of its Investment Committee. He is also an Advisory Council Member of the ASEAN Business Club (“ABC”) and the Co-Chair of ABC Singapore. He sits on the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and is currently a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors, and a member of the World Presidents’ Organization. In 2010, The Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association inducted Mr Chia into the “SVCA Hall of Fame” as its inaugural member by naming him “Pioneer Venture Capitalist & Private Equity Investor since 1986”.
Tan Sri Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria
Tan Sri Datuk Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria is the Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat based in Singapore, which serves as the advisory body, implementation arm and custodian of institutional memory for the 21 member economies that make up the APEC forum.
Dr Sta Maria was a top-level Malaysian civil servant, trade negotiator and academia. She was the Secretary-General of the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Investment from 2010 to 2016, where she oversaw the formulation of Malaysia’s international trade policies and positions, and often took the lead in their implementation as chief negotiator for bilateral and regional free trade agreements, such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
Mr Patrick Grove
As Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Catcha Group, Mr Patrick Grove is recognised as one of the leading entrepreneurs in the Asia Pacific region. He has founded and taken five companies from start-up to IPO, selling one of those companies, iProperty Group in a transaction valued in excess of US$534 million.
He is Co-Founder and Chairman of iflix, the leading SVoD service for emerging markets; Co-Founder and Director of iCar Asia, ASEAN’s number 1 network of digital automotive portals; and Co-Founder of Frontier Digital Ventures, a leading operator of online classifieds in frontier markets.
Mr Grove has been independently and widely recognised with numerous international awards.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee Oi Hian
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee Oi Hian is Chief Executive Officer of Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad. He joined KLK in 1974 as an executive and was subsequently appointed to the Board in 1985. In 1993, he was appointed as KLK's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and held the position until 2008, when he relinquished his role as Chairman, but remains as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
An illustrious business leader, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee is the Chairman of Batu Kawan Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He is also a Director of Equatorial Palm Oil Plc. He serves as a member on the Board of Trustees of the Perdana Leadership Foundation, Yayasan KLK, UTAR Education Foundation, and Yayasan Wesley. He was formerly the Chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) degree from the University of Malaya, and obtained his Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Mr Donald Lim
Mr Donald Lim is Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Equatorial Management Sdn. Bhd., a leading Malaysian hotel development and management services company with interests in restaurant operations. Prior to the hospitality industry, Mr Lim worked at Time Inc., New York in consumer marketing, and held a finance position at Sports Illustrated. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School. He continues to be engaged with Penn as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business.
Ms Rossana Annizah Rashidi
Country Chairman, Jardine Matheson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
Rossana is the Country Chairman of Jardine Matheson Group in Malaysia. She is also the Chairman of Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad as well as Board member of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad and Telekom Malaysia Berhad. She is a career professional having held several leadership positions in the telecommunications and banking sectors. With more than 35 years’ experience, she has gained broad knowledge in business strategies, understanding customers and competition, as well as identifying sustainable monetisation models with a focus on revenue and cost management.
Rossana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Finance from the Canberra College of Advanced Education (now known as the University of Canberra), Australia. She is a member of CPA Australia.
Datu Sharbini Suhaili
Group Chief Executive Officer, Sarawak Energy
Datu Sharbini Suhaili is Group CEO of Sarawak Energy, Malaysia’s largest developer of and provider of renewable energy.
In 2019, he chaired the first Sustainable and Renewable Energy Forum (SAREF). He serves as an elected board member of the International Hydropower Association (IHA) and encourages top tier partnerships to set international benchmarks. He is also a council member of Energy Transition Malaysia Alliance (ET-MAce), a coalition consisting of Malaysian energy leaders to drive energy transition in the country.
In addition to heading Sarawak Energy, he leads the renewable energy workstream of the Sarawak Economic Action Council, to drive economic development and achieve high income status for Sarawak by 2030. He is a director of Petros, a petroleum company wholly owned by the government of Sarawak. Sharbini joined Sarawak Energy in November 2016 after 30 years in the petroleum industry, working for Royal Dutch Shell and PETRONAS in various technical and leadership roles.
A former Royal Dutch Shell scholar, Sharbini holds a degree in engineering (Hons) from University of Leeds, UK, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Management College, UK.
Dato' Seri Wong Siew Hai
President, Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association
Dato' Seri Wong Siew Hai has 29 years of working experience in the electronics industry. He served Intel for most of his illustrious career and retired from Intel after 27 years of service. His last position with Intel was Vice President of Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) and General Manager of Assembly and Test Manufacturing (ATM), responsible for all assembly test factories worldwide. He also served as the Vice President and Managing Director of Dell's Asia Pacific Customer Centre for approximately two years.
Currently, Dato' Seri Wong is involved in the electronics industry as Champion of the E&E Productivity Nexus (EEPN) and President of the newly formed Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA).
