SMU Semester Exchange Orientation
Exchange students are introduced to SMU’s vibrant city campus life and a wholesome range of resources to enable a better transition in studying at SMU. It also provides them with an opportunity to network with fellow exchange students to support one another.

This event is open to undergraduates, recent graduates, as well as post-graduate students with 2 years or less of working experience, where they can network with employers, and source for internships and job opportunities.

University Student Life Awards
The annual University Student Life Awards (USLA) recognises and honours students, as well as faculty and staff, who have contributed towards fostering an exciting and vibrant campus life in SMU through their involvement in CCAs and university events.
SMU Postgraduate Career & Networking Fair
This fair connects postgraduate students with employers offering internship and full-time opportunities across industries spanning consulting, financial services, media, automotive and more. In the March ’24 edition, employers will also have the option of moving candidates to a dedicated Interview Space for a quick personalized chat. This three-hour event is invaluable for students looking to interact with employers in a face-to-face setting.
SMU Semester Exchange Cohort Gathering
During the semester, to enhance the vibrancy of the exchange experience, engagement events are held for exchange students to learn about Singapore’s history and culture through activities, games, and food. It is another opportunity to build and strengthen international friendships before the exchange ends.
Alumni Networking
An annual event open to all PG students, current students will have the opportunity to meet and network with PG alumni. Our group of PG alumni consists of both recent alumni and those with more working experience, offering students insights into various stages of their possible professional trajectories. With formats ranging from a panel to smaller roundtable discussions, this event is very well-received and a perennial favourite with students and alumni.
Study and live abroad for 2 to 4 weeks during SMU's term breaks through fee-based programmes offered by SMU's partner universities across Europe and Asia or embark on a customised programme with SMU peers.
SMU and international students are welcomed to enrol in this four-week summer programme to gain new insights and perspectives on Asia, Sustainability and Digital Intelligence from SMU faculty through interactive seminar style classes, earning credits towards your studies.
